Thinking is a rare occurence for some people
For the third time this week, there is a truck blocking my street. Should I need an ambulance as I have 5 times in the last 10 months they would not be able to get down the street nor can the Senior Citizen Bus that my Father gets picked up and dropped off by 5 times a week. The first time I went down the block and it took me 10 minutes to find someone who spoke English! ( that’s a shock) I very nicely explained v e r y s l o w l y that this is a private road and that it is illegal to block the street and that next time I would be calling the police and INS. The second time I went down there and as soon as the one english speaking guy from the first time saw me he moved the truck. I thanked him and went home. Well, today my day started off by finding out that my son was named student of the week along with his best friend and did the school notify me so I could attend the morning assembly? Nope ! They did not. They send home a million insignificant pieces of paper to feed my fireplace, but something important I never get. Now my horns are twisted! Next I get a call from the school nurse *( same woman who called my ex-husband’s old apartment building and left a message that my son wasn’t in school and wanted to know if he was ok after the fight he had) letting me know that my poor son is sitting in her office because he was vomiting in class and could I come and pick him up. I fly out of the house just to get even a bit more aggravated when I can’t fit down the block because they are blocking it YET AGAIN! I race to the school, my poor son is running a fever and passing out. I get him situated in the truck ( plastic bag in place should he get sick again) and head home. SURPRISE! The damn truck is still blocking the street, so I go around the other way, park in my driveway and head down there on foot, my ill son in tow. I walk into the yard and tell the man approaching me that the truck cannot block the street and if I need to get an ambulance to my house it would not be able to come through and every second counts when someone is in need of A.L.S. He tells me that he just has to load up and he’ll be gone. WRONG ANSWER! I told him notsonicely that is the THIRD time I have had to come down here and last night I was just too tired to make him move, and if it is not moved within the next 5 minutes I will be calling the police. He again tells me that he has to load up and then he will move. He’s been loading since 10 am? I think not! I turned and walked home and over my shoulder told him he could stand there and wait for Code Enforcement because thats the next phone call I make. I came home, called Code Enforcement and was told that there are no permits for work being done at that address and none have been applied for. Gee, who’s pocket is getting fatter from them? Not mine! Well, I’m off to do some retail therapy. I ordered Huggable Hangers and will be needing more clothing to fill all the new space in my closet. Check back tomorrow to see if I have hired a bulldozer to empty the street so I can drive down it. Have a great day!
*My son never had a fight in school, nor is the school authorized by me to contact him for anything.

Good Morning!
Happy Monday everyone! Not it’s not an oxymoron. The sun is shining, and it supposed to be 80 degrees on Thursday. We’ll see, I find it hard to believe that I can finally have my final day at the beach . I guess I’ll figure it out when I get up Thursday morning. Oh crap! I just remembered I have to go to unemployment Thursday morning and sit there for a 90 minute presentation that’s supposed to teach me how to get a job. I KNOW how to get a job. The problem is that I always end up working for some psycho control freak who thinks he owns you just because he signs your paycheck. There would have to be a lot of numbers to the left of any decimal for me to just sit back and do as I am told. I wonder what it would be like to actually just get a job, go to work and NOT think. I don’t think I could do it. Well, I have a job lined up for next season so I’m really not so worried.
